I’m so excited to offer this Somatics-Yin Retreat this October with my good friend Helen Fong (from Halifax, NS, Canada)!
Hanna Somatics releases chronically-tight muscles through series of thoughtfully planned, gentle and small neuromuscular (mind-body) movements (Somatics Excercises). By learning to regain awareness, sensation, and motor control of muscles – an educational process that can only be achieved through movement – our brain can remember how to relax and move the muscles properly again.
Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to our connective tissues – tendons, ligaments and fascia – with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints. Specific sequeces of poses stimulate particular meridians – 经络, to improve the flow of qi – 气, as understood in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) – 中医.
By practicing Hanna Somatics and Yin Yoga, you will exeperience more relaxed, soft, therefore strong muscles and a newer length of fasica – a new you!!
